Language Experiences:
- The teachers will put on a weather skit in which we act out various types of extreme weather (thunderstorm, blizzard, hot etc.).
- We will make a paper plate weather wheel.
- We will read a book about kites, make them, and fly them outside in the windy weather!
- We will make a tornado in a bottle.
- We will do a cloud experiment and craft.
- We will use straws to pretend to blow various objects like the wind.
- We will plant pocket gardens (lima beans, wet paper towel, plastic bag, and sunlight).
- We will plant grass (a "yard") in a cup.
- We will make a diorama of a yard.
- We will pack a picnic to share with our friends in the courtyard.
- We will have a picnic with our friends in the school courtyard.
Notes: Just a reminder...the "Walk For Talk" is this Saturday, May 22nd! Please bring your pledges to school by Wednesday, May 19th. Thanks! Hope to see you all there!
